Playground Games and Microsoft have announced that Forza Horizon 4 is getting a Steam version for PC on March 9th, bringing the ultra-popular racing game "to a whole new audience" in the near future.
This version of the game will feature crossplay with Xbox consoles, Windows 10 PCs (including Xbox Game Pass for PC) and Xbox Cloud Gaming, and is already available to wishlist on the platform as of today.
Microsoft enjoyed huge success with its first-party titles on the Steam platform in 2020, with six of them being highlighted as top sellers including Sea of Thieves, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Cash in before FH5 is announced?
Definitely feels like FH4 is going to have a longer lifespan than the traditional Forza situation of delisted 4 years after launch.
Definitely don't expect FH5 this year either as I doubt Steam release or Series X|S enhancements would've happened if that was the case.
@Grumblevolcano I agree. I find it very telling that FH4 got a Series X upgrade while FM7 didn't. This says to me that FH4 will be around for a long while before FH5 comes out and FM8 will arrive before it.
I still need to play this game.
