Having being announced last week, EA has announced that the upcoming Knockout City will be getting a closed cross-play beta on April 2 - 4 for Xbox One players, and you can sign up for it right now!

For those that don’t know, Knockout City is a competitive dodgeball inspired game, which sees teams attempting to take out their opponents in fast-paced matches. Along with being able to play against players on other systems, the beta also includes a map known as BackAlley Brawl, a special ball called the Sniper Ball, various customisation options, and a unique 1 vs 1 mode, along with the standard team modes.

To gain access, EA is taking sign-ups now, but this doesn't necessarily guarantee access to the beta.

“We’re taking the brawl to PC on Steam and Origin, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation®4 and PlayStation5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S | X for this cross-platform beta! So grab your friends and get ready to hit the streets in style. Dominate across a new map and get a feel for the arsenal of Special Balls at your disposal. Check out our new playlist to take down rivals as a team or face off 1v1 for glory.”

A new trailer also premiered to announce the cross-play beta, following on from last week’s announcement and diving into more specifics about the game. It’s given us more context to what Knockout City is and we’re intrigued!
