Demon Slayer (or as its full title states, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan) has been confirmed to be arriving on Xbox Series X|S later this year, CyberConnect2 has announced.
While other versions of the game were revealed last week, a tweet on the recently opened Twitter page for the game confirmed the existence of an Xbox Series X|S version. It will join the previously announced Xbox One iteration, alongside its arrival on other platforms. No release date aside from "2021" has been confirmed as of yet.
Based on the popular manga and anime, Demon Slayer is set to have players relive the story, battling famous characters. Players can engage in two-on-two battles, either online or offline, with simplified controls to ensure all players feel powerful.

Although I am not interested in this one, more Japanese games is always good.
These types of anime brawlers invariably turn out to be mediocre.
With support like this, Xbox fortunes in Japan will be different this time around.
Great news! The more Japanese game support for Xbox the better.
Cyberconnect2 putting a game on Xbox isn’t that much of surprise. I mean they’ve been good about the entire XB1 gen so
The real surprise is Aniplex or their parent SME is publishing it and not SIE. It’s interesting.
Q) Are you eager to try out Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan?
A) Yes; I had a fun time with both the anime and manga and have particularly enjoyed CyberConnect2's past games. I'm delighted to hear it'll be available on Xbox Series X and depending on how it shapes up from further trailers, I'd say this is a very likely purchase for me.
