We've seen some absolutely fantastic remasters from Activision Blizzard including the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 in recent years, and it looks like more are on the way in 2021!
The company revealed these plans during an earnings call yesterday (thanks VGC), where it commented that it had "a few things up our sleeve in terms of remastered content that will unveil in due course."
"We have a few other things up our sleeve in terms of remastered content that will unveil in due course, which should provide further opportunity for us this year."
Previously, it's been reported by Bloomberg that the company might be working on a Diablo 2 remake, and there's hope for more Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Tony Hawk and Call of Duty content down the line.
It appears the excellent Vicarious Visions won't be leading development on any Activision remasters going forward, however, as the studio was recently merged into Blizzard Entertainment to be "fully dedicated to existing Blizzard games and initiatives".
What other remasters do you want to see from Activision Blizzard? Let us know below.

More old Diablo games please...
I want to play the whole series on a console with a controller.
I'd guess Beenox doing Modern Warfare 3 Remastered and Vicarious Visions doing an old Blizzard game.
Will be another COD remaster most likely.
Another Spyro has been hinted, but that wouldn't be a remaster of course.
Come to think of it, I actually wouldn't mind a full remaster of the original Call of Duty. Even the anniversary edition on PC looks terribly dated. Heck, they could even reimagine the second game.
COD MW3 Remastered is a must after the success of 1&2
Hoping for THPS 3+4 either as DLC (some of the trophies suggest they expect more content) or as a separate game.
Never played a Diablo or Warcraft game but I know there is a large passionate fanbase.
Personally I just hope the first two, and similar titles, aren't ignored for Diablo & Warcraft.
This is good news, but also makes merging Vicarious Visions into Blizzard an even more puzzling move. They really should have just had them stay separate and do more remasters if they were going to do more. I know somebody else did the Call of Duty ones, but still, it's obvious Vicarious Visions was another Bluepoint caliber developer for remasters.
Hopefully they remake the first Diablo before Diablo 2. Kind of an odd place to start.
Remaster everything! Modern Warfare is over a year old now. Get it remastered!
How about a remake of the original Soldier of Fortune? Now that's something I'd look forward to.
The Lost Vikings
On the Blizzard side here's hoping we get remakes of Warcraft I and Warcraft II, complete with the included map editors and an online sharing system. And on the Activision side I'd love to see the Zork games remade as modern (graphical) adventure games, but that's probably asking waaay too much.
@Nexozi Isn't that exactly what Sony did with Spiderman? I'm sorry...they gave it 2 years first....
@Lupaie79 Lol that's exactly what I thought. Watch it be The Lost Vikings or RPM Racing lol
@Tasuki interested to see how that ancient game would play with 3 online friends in co-op
@Lupaie79 It always had a strong fan base so it would make sense. Heck they even had them in Heroes of the Storm
Blops1 please, preferably without the sbmm
@NEStalgia It's getting beyond a joke the amount of remakes or remasters. I blame GTA! 😂
@Nexozi We need a Daikatana remake now.
@Tasuki Lost Vikings is the best game Blizzard ever made! I wonder who owns the rights? Interplay published and their IPs all got auctioned off when they went down. Brian a Fargo/inExile tried to buy back as much as he could but he really wanted Fallout back and they quietly sold that to Bethesda (poetic irony now that inExile ultimately has access to the Fallout license under Microsoft.... ). Seems doubtful Interplay let them keep the rights, but, maybe.
@NEStalgia Ummm Blizzard owns the rights to the Lost Vikings.
@Tasuki That's surprising. Publishers, especially back then rarely let developers keep IP.
@NEStalgia it depends on the kind of deal they made, that's all.
Diablo 2 remaster has been a poorly kept secret, and while THPS 3/4 would be cool, THUG would also be pretty darn cool.
