One of January's biggest releases has almost arrived! Bloober Team's Xbox Series X|S console exclusive The Medium hits Xbox Game Pass this Thursday, and IGN has shared a look at the first 18 minutes of the game.
In the video above, you can get a good look at how gameplay works in the psychological horror title - including its dual-reality elements - as well as get a glimpse of its early cutscenes and even the opening credits sequence.
The Medium is available to pre-load now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC ahead of its release on January 28th, and if you're still on the fence, we've got a review of the game coming to you in the near future as well.
What do you make of the footage above? Let us know in the comments below.

I’m looking forward to it. I think it has the unfortunate task of being the first Series only game so expectations are too high. It looks AA developed by a team who so far haven’t done anything great.
Hopefully it’s a fun and solid game, I’ll definitely be giving it a go on Gamepass.
Totally off subject
But somehow we need to rise up against scalpers.
Amazon PS5 stock went in about 3 minutes.
Bots totally took over.
And what is so sick, is I have just seen adverts on the usual sites, scalpers asking £750 and showing photos of their Amazon delivery by tomorrow.
I don’t think these sites all off them give a dam as long as they get their money.
Maybe Sony might as this will hinder sales of games and other items.
I’m noticing head sets and media remotes are hanging around still up for sale for far to long compared to the amount of consoles sold, probably to scalpers.
I’m sure Amazon, Game etc are not doing enough to stop this.

This is why games like this should be cross-gen and outside no load screens i see no reason why this cant run on Ps4/Xbox1. If resident evil village can work on Xbox 1 so can this game.
Also another reason why i'm waiting till summer/fall before i nab a nexgen console
@Gaming365247 Um the game requires rendering two different environments at the same time. That’s why it needs an SSD.
@mousieone you can play it on PC with a HDD
@carlos82 technically, Yes I know that but have you seen the PC specs? I mean they are crazy stupid.
While yes you can play it with an HDD they are recommending an SSD for the lowest system spec. Unless of course you have a 3060, which the XB1 does not.
@mousieone
Yet the game was originally announced for Xbox 360, Ps4 and WiiU look it up...
@mousieone yeah the PC requirements are pretty crazy, probably because they are targeting the Series consoles as essentially the base platforms. I wouldn't imagine many PC gamers even have a HDD these days, apart for secondary storage devices
I definitely think the concept could be made to work on current gen but not necessarily their vision for what it has become. Luckily I have a Series S and I'm excited to play it later this week
@carlos82 Well Ive seen a lot of crazy things running on a Switch, so yeah I’m sure they could get it running with cuts, but eh I think it’s better to target a few systems for a smaller dev team.
@Gaming365247 Just because something is announced years ago doesn’t mean it can’t evolve. If you watch the video they just dropped today on the Xbox channel they said the game has changed considerable since then. And when they announced it; it was on a postcard. In other words, it wasn’t, “running” on those systems, but rather pre production.
@GunValkyrie
Some how let’s hope the scalpers get stuck with all those consoles.
We need some massive shipments of consoles from Sony, Microsoft and even Nintendo as the Switch is hard to get hold of.
