In an extremely quiet reveal, it seems Tom Clancy's The Division 2 will be getting its next-gen patch next week on February 2, to coincide with the Resident Evil event arriving on the same day.
Community developer Johan delivered the news on Twitter, when a fan asked if a State of the Game presentation would be airing today. In response, Johan said 'no', but the next-gen upgrade will be arriving next week with "a rebalance of the Optimization Station cost, as well as 4K 60 FPS support for next gen consoles".
"TU12.1 releases on Feb 2nd with the Resident Evil Apparel Event, a rebalance of the Optimization Station cost as well as 4K 60 FPS support for next gen consoles."
There's been no official announcement from Ubisoft about this next-gen patch at the time of writing, so we're assuming we'll find out more specific details about what we can expect over the coming days.

Awesome, I'm glad i never played this game yet.. Now i get to play the best version of it on Series X..
Even played as solo, Division 2 is an enjoyable game.
Definitely worth checking out 👍👍
Surprised to see something like this given 343 feels the Series X is too weak to play a 10 year old game at 120fps with FOV settings. Kind of damming when your own first party studios are crapping all over the console themselves
I have this but on PS4, and so far have been unable to get a PS5. If I can buy it (again) dirt cheap then I’ll be tempted to dive back in on my Series X! Also, what’s the chances of Ubisoft giving AC Odyssey a next-gen upgrade? Here’s hoping 🤞
I truly loved this game and can't for the life of me remember why I stopped playing it. Thanks for the update; I can't wait to jump back in.
@JGRockford Yeah I really enjoyed playing the first Division in solo, but the sequel never really appealed to me with it's post-apocalyptic theme, the first game was more of a post-disaster theme. It's like I would rather just play some Fallout.
Yeah, I can appreciate that 😁
I played on PS4 and called my character with most activities without jumping into multiplayer.
Picked it up cheap for XSX in the sales.
They certainly did a job on the city in reflecting on the time passed. The NY expansion is pretty good too.
Any news about crossplay with PC and mouse support??
