We're almost into July, and that means Microsoft's highly-anticipated Xbox Series X event is just a few weeks away! And according to the latest rumour, the event is currently set to fall around the week of July 20.
This comes from Jez Corden at Windows Central, who says that "multiple sources with knowledge of Microsoft's plans" have suggested this date, with the expectation that it'll be somewhere between July 20 and 25. However, he also warns that plans can shift and change, "but this is our best information as of writing."
We're assuming Microsoft will announce the event fairly soon into July either way, so hopefully there isn't too long to wait. The company says it will "dedicate time to focus on the incredible games coming from Xbox Game Studios" as part of the event, including the recently teased Halo Infinite. Bring it on!

I figured it would be towards the end of the month. Makes sense to have the 1st half of the month be focused on Halo 3.
Doesn't surprise me that it would be held towards the end of July. That is what I have been expecting so here is to a speedy July! I have plenty of games to catch up on and with the Premiere League back, I should find myself busy enough to hold me over until the event comes around. Bring it Xbox!

I'm looking forward to this, PS5 doesn't seem to have anything at launch I'm interested in so I'm hoping Xbox does
I would say I can't wait but I'm a cleaner and today at work a drip splashed into my eye from the cloth when I was wiping a pull string for the light in the toilet, so now I'm waiting to see if I managed to splash some coronavirus in my eye and if I start getting ill. Granted I clean an office and not a hospital so hopefully I dodged a covid 19 bullet but it's 2020, the worst year ever.

I hope Sony undercuts them shows off more games and the price and opens preorders. It would serve Microsoft right, because end of July is *****.

As long as it’s worth the wait and they show Xbox series x gameplay and have taken full advantage of those 12TF.
Also they bring those AAA studio games.
They have had 5 years for Halo so it should be out of this world, if it’s anything less than a superior showcase it will be disappointing.
