Ubisoft has revealed that its Cinematic World Premiere Trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla was hugely successful for the company, breaking internal records (thanks VGC).

Speaking in an earnings call, Ubisoft chief financial officer Frédérick Duguet explained that the trailer achieved over 100 million views in the first ten days, making it the most viewed trailer in Ubisoft history. Both Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey also saw a spike in player engagement, and Valhalla itself trended on Twitter for multiple days:

“Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also remained at the top of trending topics lists on Twitter for several days from April 30 in many countries – a first ever for Ubisoft."

The Cinematic World Premiere Trailer was followed up with a 'First Look Gameplay Trailer' during this month's Inside Xbox, which received criticism due to not being an actual gameplay demo. The game's creative director has since apologised for this, revealing that in-depth gameplay of Assassin's Creed Valhalla is on the way.
