It looks like the Call of Duty game coming later this year will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. This was first teased by known leaker Okami on Twitter yesterday, and backed up by Eurogamer's own sources earlier today, suggesting a return to a historical setting for the series.
Players have also recently been noticing supposed Black Ops teases via Call of Duty: Warzone. Some suggested a cryptic message at the bottom of the game's recent patch notes might be hinting at a new Black Ops, while a Spy Plane model fitting for the Cold War era has also been uncovered in-game.
Activision has reportedly declined to comment on the rumour.
What do you think of the title? Are you looking forward to this one? Let us know in the comments.

So, actually a return to the Black Ops 1 setting, then? Seeing as that already took place during the Cold War...
@ThanosReXXX I thought the same thing... Activision's insistence on rehashing previous games is getting tiresome at this point.
@Olliemar28 Part of the trouble is that they have already covered everything except WW1.We have seen WW2, Cold War , Vietnam War , modern wars in Middle East and so on. Near future and distant future as well in AW and IW. They can only return to stuff they have already covered. As long as they manage to put together a decent game it is not an issue for me.
Call Of Duty Black Ops is my favorite COD of all time.. I hope it's a Black Ops 1 Remake, That would be awsome... Black Ops 1 had the best multiplayer maps of all time..
I always find Treyarch's CODs problematic, but the first Black Ops' saving grace for me was its setting, so a return to the Cold War is intriguing.
This was not at all surprising.
And I have always thought Treyarch’s COD games were crap, so I won’t be getting this regardless.
