Update (Wed 28th May, 2020 11:00 BST): As expected, this has now reverted to full price.
Original Story (Wed 27th May, 2020 15:00 BST): It's been two weeks since popular basketball sim NBA 2K20 was made available for just £2.49 on Xbox One, which is a massive 95% discount off its usual price. However, it looks like that deal is ending today.
The Microsoft Store currently shows nine hours left on the deal at the time of writing, which suggests it'll end at around midnight UK time. The store does sometimes change its timings, but given that the Nintendo Switch deal also expires today, we're pretty confident it'll revert to full price soon. Grab it while you can!
2K continues to redefine what’s possible in sports gaming with NBA 2K20, featuring best in class graphics & gameplay, ground breaking game modes, and unparalleled player control and customization.

I am so very tempted but am trying not to buy cheap games I'll never play at the moment due to money concerns. Also the reviews all state it is bogged down by MTX and gambling mechanics and I really don't want to support that business model in any way. But still though... so tempting for £2.49... but which platform to get it on? All 3? Lol
Haha. I agree ralphdibny, I have been tempted to buy it on switch and Xbox at least, not too bothered about PS4. Resisted so far, I think I probably wouldn’t play it at all.
@JetmanUK @ralphdibny I was dubious, but if all you want to do is play some basketball there is no need to spend any additional money other than the £2.49..
It play's well, as for the platform, I would say Xbox One as 1st choice, simply as it's a large file size... Those gb's on Switch would likely be better spent downloading something else, this is not anywhere near likely as much of an issue on Xbox where space is cheaper...
@BANJO @JetmanUK both switch for portability and Xbox for graphics tempted me too but then I saw my mate had it on ps4 last night so I went to buy that one but it was £50 on ps store so back to my dilemma, doubt I'll get either now lol
@ralphdibny lol, well yes (I also have a Switch) and for portability it certainly would mean Switch is the only option, I only play mine docked.. It also reviewed well on Switch... Strange it's not on discount on the PS4.
@BANJO it probably just came off sale earlier I suspect, I doubt my friend who is notoriously frugle would pay 50 quid for it. I've managed to avoid buying this game I think, seems to be off sale. I know it seems silly for 2.50 but it adds up when you buy lots of games for under a tenner each and money is going to be tight soon due to my furlough ending but my inability to go to work due to living with a lot of people (some who are somewhat high risk). I'm in the process of photographing a lot of comics that I have doubles of so I can sell them on ebay and will probably sell a few other nicknacks to raise some cashola
Certainly, I've found that, it all adds up and before you know it you have spent more than you planned or wanted...
Also it's best to be sensible currently, and only spend on the things you actually need.. Best of luck with the comic selling, I hope it goes well.
Yeah good luck with the selling @ralphdibny , I hope it helps. Tricky times ahead for many.
With regards to the little spends, yeah I’m bad for this, a bargain here and a bargain there is tough to resist when games are on a deep sale. Ah well. Haha
@JetmanUK @BANJO cheers peeps, I hope it goes well but somehow I doubt it will raise much, random modern comics aren't really worth anything unless there's some speculator value to them and even then, they're only valuable for a while after they came out because people have scalped all the copies from the comic shops!
