Microsoft revealed a first look at next-gen psychological horror game The Medium earlier today, which is coming to both Xbox Series X (and apparently Xbox Game Pass) in 2020.
Bloober Team is developing the title, which previously worked on Layers of Fear and Blair Witch. The game, which uses ray-tracing technology, features 4K support, and allegedly has no loading screens, also features a "dual" soundtrack composed in part by Akira Yamaoka, who famously worked on the music for the Silent Hill series.
"Become a medium living in two worlds: the real and the spirit one. Haunted by a vision of a child’s murder, you travel to an abandoned hotel resort, which years ago became the stage of an unthinkable tragedy. There you begin your search for difficult answers. The Medium features a “dual” soundtrack by Bloober Team’s Arkadiusz Reikowski and legendary composer Akira Yamaoka of Silent Hill fame."

I have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate until at least May 2022, so this news really makes me happy!
I am really looking forward to this game. It ticks all the Silent Hill boxes for me!
At this point, the only thing I will have to pay for is the Series X console and Game Pass will handle the games.
This game looked kinda interesting. And it’s a Xbox exclusive, apparently. So that is 👍🏻.
@KelticDevil This is really an Xbox exclusive? I thought everything shown here was coming out for both.
But either way, I could really do with more silent hil-esque scariness and having Akira Yamaoka is icing on the cake.

It has come out that 4-5 of the games shown are either Xbox console exclusives or just not being developed for PlayStation at this time. And this game was one of them.
I’m not sure if they are timed exclusives or not. And I am not sure why Microsoft didn’t mention it during the show, but that seems to be the case.
@KelticDevil
oh, wow. yeah, that is kind of weird that the presentation didn't say that. Kind of makes me want to support the games more though, knowing that they trust Xbox and want to support Xbox gamers that they're willing to go exclusive even if it is only a limited time.
Or MS paid them more money, lol. But I'm going to pretend they just like us.
@ThePrettySenshi
I agree. I do like to support games like that. And maybe Microsoft helped fund the games during development? No idea at this point. Either way, some of the games shown look pretty cool. And I love horror games.
