We've had an anonymous tip thrown across the Pure Xbox news desk this evening, apparently confirming the lineup for Games With Gold in March. File it firmly under RUMOUR until official confirmation comes through.
Usually, we wouldn't post an anonymous tip-off, but we've spoken to sources familiar with the lineup and...well...they aren't denying it.
We're hearing that Rayman Legends will be free on Xbox One for the entire month of March, and #IDARB will remain free until the end of March, too.
On Xbox 360, we're told that Tomb Raider will be free for the first half of the month, then on the 16th, Bioshock Infinite will take its place.
Not only that, but to celebrate more than 100 million downloads via the Games With Gold service, Microsoft will be doubling up on the free offers in April. So, we could be looking at a wave of free titles in the fourth month. We'll bring you official confirmation of all this as soon as we have it.

Ooh I love a rumour All excellent games, which I already own, might give my disc copies to friends 👍 Looking forward to Aprils double delight though
Just my luck lol. I finally broke down waiting for it to be 20 bucks at futureshop and bought it for 30 just last month. Oh well, I'm sure people will enjoy that!
Xbox definitely does need to step up its game though this month's ps+ games were great. Transistor and apotheon.
I hope this is true so everyone with an Xbox One will know just how excellent Rayman Legends is.
That would be great! I do love free stuff. Well, at least stuff that's part of a service that's paid for, but for no EXTRA cost.
You know what, that sounds snarky. Let's stick with that sounds great.
@mitcHELLspawn and rogue legacy is free on ps4 too.
@RaunchyUndead really I didn't see that. What kinda game is that?
@RaunchyUndead nm I just checked it out. doesn't look like my cup of tea lol
I would definitely love to have Rayman Legends and Bioshock Infinite, and if they do this double down thing, it could easily be a great month for free games!
@mitcHELLspawn Rogue Legacy is a devilishly good game, especially on Vita, but it certainly won't be for everyone. You basically play through a single dungeon (divided into many areas) over and over again until you've leveled up enough to reach and beat all of the bosses. The environments are randomly generated, so it's not as repetitive as you might expect. Still, it's surely a grind at times. I thought it was fantastic as a handheld experience, though I'm not sure I'd want to play it on a TV. I'd say it's at least worth downloading to your hard drive in the event that you're looking for a change of pace down the road. Can't hurt if it's free!
Looks like a great month but I already own and played through all of these games. Rayman and Bioshock are a must for everyone who for some reason still haven't played them.
That would be awesome! I loved Rayman Legends on X360! Those daily/weekly challenges were "painful". If we'll have it on XO, Im afraid we have to start over! This game should represent "The perfect game" in my opinion.
Personally I am not interested in any of the 'indie' titles on either platform (PS or XB). Looking ahead to March (if true) I would probably download Rayman Legends for nostalgic reasons, I already have Tomb Raider (360) and definitely recommend it. I am not sure about BioShock Infinite but for free, I can't see any reason not to try it. I don't know if I will download it, as I haven't played my 360 for months now...
@BAMozzy As long as you download Rayman Legends we can continue to be friends.
Maybe Lords of the Fallen in April after it was so quickly withdrawn from the Ultimate Games Sale?
Already own. Damn.
Dang I wish Rayman was free on the 360 I still need to play that game. I have already played through Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite and even have Tomb Raider on the PS4.
@DRL Confirmed: http://majornelson.com/2015/02/25/xbox-live-games-gold-march-2015/
Anyone who would like to get chellenged just add me: renattooo
@renatto right on! thanks for the confirmation!
@renatto Fantastic! I'll jump into the daily/weekly challenges again soon. I'm dealing with TV troubles at the moment. Should have it sorted in the next couple days.
