Figured it would be interesting to have a thread like this where we write down our favourite ten Xbox (original Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One) games of all time. It can be both first-party and third-party titles as long as they're on an Xbox console.
Here's my list in no particular order (I'm also keeping it one game per franchise):
1) Halo Reach
2) Forza Horizon
3) Sunset Overdrive
4) Banjo-Kazooie
5) Gears 5
6) Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2
7) Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing
8) Mass Effect 3
9) Observation
10) Assassin's Creed II
As I was putting together my list, I realised that I've played most of the games that I really like on PlayStation systems, like PS3 and PS4. If I had only owned Xbox systems, then my list would've looked much different than this. It also goes to show that I need to play more Xbox games in general.
I think mine is a short list in terms of the games I've played that I don't consider multiplats
Splinter Cell
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Forza Horizon 4
Forza Horizon 3
I know splinter cell is a multiplat and admittedly I did play the superior GameCube version (superior because of its GBA link cable feature that allowed you to look at the map and view sticky camera/under door camera feeds) but they are some of my favourite games and the first one at least was originally an Xbox exclusive.
Forza horizon has just blown me away though, just working through 3 at the moment and it's brilliant!
@Royalblues I still need to play Lost Odyssey and other JRPGs from early 360 era like Blue Dragon, The Last Remnant etc. I definitely think my list would change to include one of those if I ever play them since I love JRPGs.
@ralphdibny Yeah the Forza Horizon series is definitely one of my favourite Xbox series and one that's been consistently great ever since the first one came out on 360. I still remember playing FH1 at the end of my upper secondary school days and I have very fond memories of that game, which is why I included it in my list instead of FH3 which is better in many aspects.
@LtSarge ah fair enough, Ive only got 3 and 4, might try and pick up 1 and 2 secondhand some day. I won't be able to get the DLC but oh well, not a lot I can do about that!
