Topic: What Features Would You Like To See Added To Xbox One?

I would love to see a Share Play equivalent added. I adore the feature on PS4 and would really enjoy it on Xbox One as well.

Other than that I would like the ability to adjust the sizes of Snapped windows (unless they stealth added that and I didn't know about it) and be able to change audio settings for the Snap feature.

Screenshots. For reviews and news, mainly. Having to hook up the Elgato is a pain in the backside as my work PC is on the opposite side of the lounge to my consoles

And folders for games. I get through a lot of games for review purposes, and my games list is just stupid, even though it's split over two rows. I'd like to have a folder for stuff I have yet to play and a folder for other stuff.

Just those two would make me a happy man.

Screenshots - can't fathom why it's such a big deal for them to implement.

Ability to download movies like you can on the surface or windows phone. Sometimes when your internet is acting up having to stream them can be a real pain in the arse.

Integrate the custom background feature with Onedrive and remove the stupid size restriction. I've got 1000's of photos on there... I don't want to have to put them on a USB drive to import one, or have to resize them when the console could do that for me on the fly.

Bring back full support for the Avatars!

Add PVR support to the Xbox TV unit so I can record shows via the OneGuide. I really could get rid of my BluRay Freeview PVR then!

Licence the wireless controller support to 3rd parties. I don't want to have a massive USB cable trailing along the floor when I play Skylanders or Infinity!

This too - I've bought 90% of the games available so far and the horizontal list just keeps on going and going. I know you can load a game by voice, but having folders, or at least being able to sort by genre would be a big help when simply browsing for something to play.

A bacon grill attachment would be good, maybe a toaster as well.

But seriously folks, all the above.  I'd also like a bit of common sense in the voice commands........I don't want to have to say "Xbox, go to Forza Motorsport 5", why can't I just say "Xbox, go to Forza"?  If you have more than one Forza game, as I do, maybe say Forza for one and Horizon for the other?

That's another good one... "Xbox go to Lego Marvel Superheroes" is a bit of a mouthful...

Maybe they could have it more intelligent. You say "xbox play Lego" or "xbox play COD" and if you have multiple variations it could bring up a list and you just say 1, 2 or 3?

Pah. I'd like my Xbox to listen to me at all. It rarely does anything I say, yet the Wife breezes past and gets signed in then obeys her every command..oh wait - that might be me LOL

Mine works perfectly when the room is silent for launching games and apps. It's when I'm playing a game or watching a movie that the fun begins... then I literally have to shout "xbox pause" or "Xbox record that" for it to work. Actually for the latter I now use the double tap guide and press X feature now as it's so unreliable.

Maybe its cos I generally play with my headphones on and the telly muted, but my kinect is usually ok.......Helps if I swear at it, mind!

My Kinect listens ok, I just can't use it much because if Mister is playing his at the same time and I give a command, his does it as well. Useful for winding him up, though.

I dislike how the followers thing works in place of friends. There's no real notification or anything when someone adds you, so unless I actively check my followers periodically, it can be weeks before I realise someone has tried to add me.

Also I don't know if it's different now, because I don't use it any more, but the console's ability to turn the TV on when it powered up was poop. It could never differentiate between if the TV was already on or not, so if I switched from watching television to the One or something, it'd turn the TV off :/

No did the same for me - it uses the power toggle command instead of discrete 'on' and 'off' commands. No good for me anyway as I have too much other stuff hooked up that needs turning on as well before anything will work.

I love how its followers instead of friends. Makes it a lot easier to follow people I care about without them having to accept a request. Although as you said they should do a better job of notifying players.

I can see both sides of this. It's cool to 'follow' people that you probably wouldn't game with, but it would be nice to have the option of 'Send a friend request' or 'Follow'. As my fellow Captain says, it can be a long time before you spot someone following you unless you frequently check.

The ability to either completely disable or to at least adjust the power button on the front of the console would be nice.  If you have small children (or pets) you likely know exactly why I want this.  It'd make life so much easier if instead of just brushing the power button you had to hold it for a second or two before the console would power on/off.

No, no...I want it because I'm a clumsy oaf and switch it off anytime I'm anywhere near it. Or switch it on EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm trying to dust the damned thing.

If I ever have cause to move the Xbone, when pushing it back into position, it always turns on.  Then the boy says "Can we play Skylanders?" and I'm stuck.

3 years old, 157 Skylanders and he knows all their names and elements.  ~Hes either going to be a scientist/astronaut or Rain Man.

Jesus - you've got him 157 skylanders figures? Even with discounts that's got to be over £1000 worth of figures! You should take out shares in Activision... I assume Trapteam is top of his xmas list then?

But his Grandma getting him Trap Team, yes......and the rest of the family have been motivated into buying the new figures!

I have also spent an obscene amount of money on the Skylanders figures for my son. He's not quite got that many Red, but I don't think he's too far behind. I tend to get them when they are on sale for about £4 - £5 for a 3 pack or each.
