Phil..... Says a lot of things. He's starting to remind me of Reggie. He says one thing one day then backtracks it 2 weeks later and is still right. I like Phil. I like Reggie. They're both terrible liars and I'd never hang my hat in anything either of them says.
@BlueOcean Yeah i imagine it would. 4k60 I'd hope. I played what i played in 4k30. It's the kind of game that doesn't really need 60....24 pulldown is the cinematic standard. But yeah at this point it's worth waiting.
The big question is how available XSeX will really be until at least June. I'm keeping my expectations minimal.
@NEStalgia Yes! Performance mode is dynamic resolution scaling so it will be 4K60FPS on Series X. It'd be great if CD Projekt made Series X enhancements but it's good as it is:
"The new performance mode for Xbox One X users is a less clear-cut success, but worth having as an option. The idea is simple: contain the target resolutions to a lower figures, and attempt to hit 60fps insteaed. In terms of visual settings, texture filtering takes a hit in quality next to the 4K mode too, as does the presentation of shadows - but otherwise the two are like-for-like in core asset quality, draw distances and effects. The main dividing point is in resolution".
About Series X availability I hope it's just you being pessimistic because I need it in November because I'm selling my Xbox One X 😁.
Since when has any console launch had sufficient supply? . Switch is "special" as was wii. Every console sells out on launch, preorders are rare. Granted, only nintendo manages to sell out preorders in under an hour. Ps4 was scarce within 48 hours. Xbone vcr was available better and even that monstrosity sold out! If XSeX is available at launch that means PS5 is decimating it
Edit: either that or both of them cost $700 and everyone is buying switch..... Phil's down to having to promote XSeX through animal crossing. Imagine Hirai having to promote ps5 on an episode of Red vs. Blue.
Your ForzaGrass and ForzaTrees should look great on Series X 😂. I'm actually more excited about Sea of Thieves at 60 FPS because that game is one of the most beautiful things of the generation but in first-person games the frame rate is more annoying because the camera is constantly turning. I'm also excited to see Monster Hunter World at 60 FPS on a console for the very first time! I'm absolutely intrigued by the HDR solution for backwards compatible games.
EDIT: Animal Crossing LOL. Can't believe its success (I have it on GC and 3DS).

But besides that, I don't think I can agree. Sure, Phil and Reggie are both likeable characters, but where Phil is concerned, I'm not seeing what you mentioned there at all.

@ralphdibny Well my Game Pass Ultimate sub runs out tomorrow and I just claimed de Blob 2 on GwG so we'll just have to wait and see then if anything has changed!
I've actually been waiting for my Game Pass to run out since I got a 14-day trial of Ultimate with my purchase of a new Xbox One controller and was hoping to use it then. It says that I cannot use the code on an ongoing subscription or if I've already redeemed a free trial from before, which I haven't. So hopefully I'll get to redeem it tomorrow since two weeks of Ultimate is a lot of money I get to save. If it doesn't work then yeah I'll just renew it for another month as per usual.
@LtSarge nice one cheers! Game pass is real expensive. I mean it's not in comparison to buying or renting all the games you get separately but I think it's pricey. I wouldn't have it if I didn't get the £1 upgrade deal and got two and a half years of UGP for £76
@ralphdibny So my Game Pass Ultimate ran out today as previously mentioned and just to confirm that, I haven't been able to access any Game Pass or Xbox One GwG titles at all. With that confirmed, I went to download de Blob 2 (it's already in my library) and it's downloading right now.
It's finished downloading now, I've booted it up and there's no message telling me that I can't play it because I'm not a Gold member. So everything should still be the same as before!
(My 2 weeks free trial code sadly didn't work, but it's not a big deal. It was worth a try at least!)
So I got the 360 BFG version of the game. First I installed it on my 360 and it worked well. So I am sure that my disc is recognized as it is fully playable and on the 360.
But when I insert the disc in my One X all it says is "There is problem getting this content at the moment."
I tried with power cycles and restarts. I have tried my other BC games and they all prompted to download/install like Assassins Creed 4, The Orange Box, Fable 2, Fallout 3.
Is there a problem with Doom BFG on the Backwards compatibility program?!

UPDATE: This is a very weird issue! The disc is not recognized but I found it in the store and it let me download it. Not my disc is recognized. I will see after the download if I can play it.
@Zuljaras Some 360 games have two digital versions that are identical, e.g., "Arcade" version (digital original version) and the backwards compatible version. There is always one you are able to download, if you find it on the store, it should acknowledge that you own the game and let you download that version. This problem will disappear when all games are migrated to the new digital store.
