So my friend and I have recently got back to playing Left 4 Dead (and L4D2) on the Xbox One, and are having difficulties in signing in to our gamer profiles. This is also a problem we had a few years ago, when it first came to Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility.
Basically, if I start the game with just me signed in to my Xbox One (as is the norm) then the game shows me on the title screen as it should. However, when my friend signs in using my second profile, the game (or Xbox One) swaps our profiles around. I am now Player Two and he is Player One.
While not a HUGE problem, it does make things confusing when playing, as we're both used to the split-screen positions... me on the left (or top) and him on the right (or bottom). Granted, we could just swap controllers, but we shouldn't have to do that.
As I said, we had this issue before, and I think we got it sussed. But now, about 4 years after we last played, the problem is back. We're not sure if this happens with Left 4 Dead 2 as we have yet to test it. I am going to test this on an actual Xbox 360 as well.
Does anyone know why this happens? Or does anyone else have this problem? Please and thank you.
