Topic: Sony headphones

Anyone tried the sony xm3s xm4s on the xbox series x ? i know the only way the might play is via the joypad and a 3.5 lead. just dont want to buy a new set of headphones if i dont need to. I dont ever use a mic so not worried if the mic dont work .

While I haven't tried those models, I have a pair of wireless Arctis 1 headphones (non XBox) for the past year that I had been using for PC.

Unfortunately, they only function with the jack for XBox functionality.

I'd suggest googling around, or even emailing the manufacturer for details on your models.

Yeah I use the XM3s. The sound is great, although I get a little buzz that's audible when there's no sound playing. I'm pretty sure that's just the wire I use though. Otherwise it's a fantastic set of headphones and I recommend

@roe Do you get the 3d audio via the cable ? or is it just stereo ? just i got the xm4s and when i watch the x box series x games on you tube i can hear the 3d audio , just dont know if its lost via the cable to joypad connection .

@synthkid I think any headphones can do "3D audio" tbh but you might need Dolby Atmos for the full optimised effect on some games.

Using the headphones for a game like Hellblade is superb. You really do get the full surround effect and it's disturbingly good

Have you tried the headphones wireless via a mobile phone app ? Seen a video showing how to do this , just waiting for my xbox to come from Game .

Got it working wireless via my iphone and the remote play function .
