Just a warning for anyone considering buying the disc version of Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate...
Installing this game and all the DLC off the disc is an absolute joke. It's complete pot luck which pieces of DLC will correctly install, and then it may or may not correctly upgrade each one via Smart Delivery seemingly at random. Oh, and if you think you'll just install the base game and play through the story... nope! The story content is a separate installation that isn't brought to your attention until you go to start it.
I'm currently on attempt number three installing everything from scratch. I really, really like MK11 but the piecemeal approach to all the content included in the Ultimate edition is an utter p**s take. It's needlessly causing issues and completely undermining the very idea of Smart Delivery.
Still a great game, very poorly executed in terms of user friendliness. You've been warned.
@VenomousAlbino Hello. I just bought the game and i had one problem. Everything installed properly but 4 characters: Rambo, Rain, Fujin and Terminator. Everything works fine but that. It appears like installed but when i go to the game that 4 characters are missed. Did you solve your problem? Can you tell me how?
@yiyoh81 sorry, I gave up on it and uninstalled the game. I only bought MK11U on Series X because it was a steal at £37. I already own MK11 and every bit of DLC (except Kombat Pack 2) on Switch, so I've gone back to playing that version.
@VenomousAlbino Hey! I just found the solution. Just restarting the game and console a few times and voilá, every character and skin show up without problems. Try it if you still have the game.
