'Play a game' Quests seem to be working again, but was a bit slow to register. Tried earlier this afternoon, but it didn't pop. When I went back into the app just before 6pm the quest was ready to submit. Then this evening the same quest didn't register until a couple of hours later.
@dmcc0 ahh sweet, cheers for the heads up! Sadly mine didn't work at all before 6pm so I've missed out on one daily. Should still have enough dailys left to pop the 1K monthly though, hopefully 🤞. I've just tried opening a GP game now and it hasn't popped but I'll keep an eye on it and hopefully it will pop by tomorrow
Ah - this morning it gave me all the rewards I’d missed, 3x ‘play game pass’ and ‘earn your way’.
This happened to me today as well, except it's just X2 because I must have got it just before it went down on the first day.
@SithThanos hang in there! Hopefully it pops for you soon. I think you just gotta make sure you've opened a game pass game and let the loading screen have the Game Pass Logo show up in the bottom right.
Thanks for the info. Yeah i have tried a few games. Hades, oblivion, plague tales all nothing. I haven't received anything. I just pray i don't miss out on the 1000 points.
@SithThanos ah sorry I should say, they didn't actually "pop" for me. I went into the quest menu and just saw they were ready to turn in
Xbox (home button) > Game Activity (controller icon) > All Achievements > Game Pass Quests (on the left, might take a minute to show up under achievements and gamerscore leaderboard)
Hopefully wont miss out on the 1K though, there is normally a couple days leeway on the amount of dailies you have to do. I haven't done the exact calculations for this month but that's my experience of it, anecdotally anyway.
@ralphdibny@SithThanos I'm assuming the monthly rewards are actually 4wks/28days rather than a full month, so 2 per day would give you 56 dailies max. You only need 45 dailies for he 1000pts so as long as the Log in to the App quest is tracking you can afford to miss 9 days of the 'Play' quest.
MS have acknowledged it so unlikely it'll stay broken for long and I doubt anyone will lose out because of it.
@dmcc0 that sounds about right yeah. I wasn't willing to commit to it because I think February had a random daily that was like "start jedi fallen order" which I thought they might have stuck in there because Feb is a short month. I could be totally misremembering that though!!
Day 3 of not been able to get the play a game pass game points. Im really starting to worry now. I have received nothing and it looks like i will miss out on the 1000 sigh... i have tried it with hades, oblivion, that plague game and another one. NOTHING for 3 days.... sigh
@SithThanos ahh lame, I don't know what to suggest then. Unless the quests got turned in when you turned in another quest without you noticing the points difference? On the monthly quest, let us know the amount of dailies that have been ticked off for you (I think it's out of 45) and I'll check mine when I get home tonight and we can compare
Just an update i have received 2 x of my play a game pass game. Just not todays one. Hey @ralphdibny have you received the one for today or like me im just waiting on that one. I have received the other 2 i missed thankfully...
Just an update! I finally got the play a game pass points. Just now they are so delayed but thank goodness i got it. Sorry if i went on abit in this thread i was just worried about missing out on the 1000 points haha
Nah your ok, can get a bit stressful when it's all through no fault of your own. Just know there's a bit of leeway for stuff like this, even if you need to be away from your Xbox for a few days or something
Rewards seem to be back to normal - the Night in the Woods quest tracked immediately for me. Strange thing though, the Achievement for finishing the first chapter didn't pop until hours later when the console was off and I got a notification through the Xbox app on my phone.
@ralphdibny downloaded that Konami Picross app and am hooked - at approx 30% completion and lost a couple of evenings to it already! Touch controls are better than I expected, although I stupidly downloaded on my phone (even though I said I wouldn't) so fat-fingered a few of the 15x15 puzzles. I like how the puzzles are just randomly picked too rather than the usual method of starting with the simple 5x5 and slowly working up to bigger ones. Thank for the recommendation
