Unfortunately I have an issue with left wrist pain that has been going on almost two years and I can hardly game on Xbox anymore 😣 I have found playing with a switch 2 pro controller on Nintendo seems to cause far less pain and I'm wondering if it's somehow possible to use a switch controller on Xbox series s/x? I have heard of special adaptors on the market but unsure if they really work?
@MagicCat I know if you have a PC and Gamepass on it you can sync Switch, Playstation and other controllers to your PC but I dont think you can to the Series X. Its kinda odd that Switch Pro controller is OK you but a Series X controller isnt especially since they are the same shape and style.

@Tasuki Thanks for the reply and info! I found Brook Wingman converter which apparently works with Xbox console and 150+ controllers including Nintendo pro controller!
Yeah it's strange why the switch 2 controller is less painful to use, they are similar but the sides on the switch controller are a bit slimmer and are shaped a bit differently so think the grip suits my hand better. It could also be the type of game I'm playing as on switch I have only played Mario Kart and have also remapped the controls a little, on Xbox I was playing Tony Hawk 3+4 and feel like controlling the skater has to be quite precious and is more intense on the wrist vs the causal control of MK in free roam mode. Would be interesting to try TH on the switch to see what happens... I may try an old Fifa on switch to compare as EA 25 on Xbox is really bad on my wrist. The PS5 controller is the worst because of the sticks and d-pad in the opposite positions.
@MagicCat I can understand THPS 3+4 on Xbox. I grew up playing THPS3 on the PS2 so I am use to playing that game with a PS controller. Playing it with a Series X controller is just horrible for me. I cant get combos to work and where the face buttons are I have to do this werid claw thing with my hand to be able to attempt to do anything. As a result I can only play it in short bursts due to hand cramps.

@Tasuki Same here grew up playing TH on PlayStation. I played TH 3/4 a few years back on Xbox via the emulation in dev mode so kinda got used to the TH controls with an Xbox controller. Do you prefer d-pad or sticks for doing tricks? I think the game feels off though like it's too fast or something? I had quite a bit of frustration getting all the money and reaching certain parts of the maps that I don't remember having in the past. Think I might try the PS2 versions again sometime to compare. I miss the carnival level, that was fun but tough goals. I'm hoping to just play 15 minute free skate sessions and have TH my game of choice to get the daily MS reward points! How are you progressing with the career goals?
@MagicCat I use the dpad mainly for tricks although I will use the sticks occasionally. That might another reason that I am thrown off by the MS controller is the position of the sticks compared to where the sticks are on a PS controller.
I believe the money is new to the remakes and I do know that they added in some new areas to the maps. Its kinda nice having the added areas on the maps.
As for the career goals I am doing ok on tbem. I 100% the Foundry level and I got most of them on Canada, and I also did a few in Suburbia. My son and I take turns on it. I will do a sessions and get as many as the goals as I can in the time limit then he will do a run and and get what he can. We do that for a couple of hours just relaxing. One thing I do remember doing in the PS2 original was I would do just enough to unlock a level and when I got the level unlocked I would go and get all the stat point upgrades. That way I would have better stats to go back to the levels and finish them, making them a bit easier. Of course its been a few days since we played but next time I think I will try that.

@MagicCat You can try the Switch controller playing other games as you're saying and compare. If it's really better for your hands, I'd recommend a Brook Gaming adapter. Just make sure you're buying the correct model.
