Loving the console but am experiencing audio crackles and pops when navigating the dashboard settings and in particular when viewing the map in Watch Dogs Legion.
Anyone else seeing / hearing this problem?

I am using a Turtle Beach Elite Atlas wired headset with my Series X controller. (have also replicated with another brand of headset)

I've noticed when on the dashboard and launching/exiting the "Settings" or "Accessories" tile that I hear from time to time a small and short amount of static. Its very brief but there.

When going via the TV audio, no such issue presents itself. So I am assuming this audio glitch relates to wired connection into the controller and not sure that there is a fix unless MS pushes out an update.

Having problems with my Turtle Beach as it is, started separate thread, but even through my surround sound there's little pops and static sound navigating the Xbox menus.

At one point, the audio cut out entirely for Bright Memory. Although that's got more than audio problems.

Do I just plug my headset into the controller and that should automatically switch audio to my headset from the tv?

It can happen (as it could with XBone) on a number of setups.

Adjust audio until popping stops.

There is more information through Google searches.

Yeah I'm hearing some noise when interacting with the UI at times - just using teh HDMI audio output. I'm not sure if that's a software level issue, or if it involves interference bleeding into the audio from nearby components. It's mildly irritating but doesn't seem to happen while playing games, only while interacting with the menu. I'm curious if future firmware updates will solve anything with that.

I'm not hearing it with the map in Watchdogs though.

#NEStalgia I have worked out when I am running audio through TV HDMI no such problem. In my case I suspect its the fact that my headphones are wired into my controller. So either interference or a software issue.

Friends with wireless headsets don't appear to have the issue.

@cream17 Interesting that USB doesn't have the issue - but I can confirm it does happen through HDMI (I'm running from HDMI to a receiver/breakout to a headphone amp.) There's definitely some interference noise with the UI up coming through there. And it didn't happen with 1X (or with PS4, PS5.)

It's not presenting as a problem, it's only when there's transitional screens like loading games, opening the UI, switching games, etc. Never interferes with gameplay for me so far. But it's a little annoyance. It may be hardware level - my PC gaming rigs used to have quirks like that when things like HDDs would get hit hard and the EMI would bleed into the audio circuit. Could be the GPU or fan or something is too close to an audio circuit but only hits the offending frequencies when certain things happen.

Same issue here. Series X connected to AV Receiver. Any idea if this is something that might get fixed with a firmware update?

I contacted Microsoft support about my wireless headset connectivity issues and they said Microsoft knows about it and is looking into it.

Others have said something to do with the series x pad conflicting with the wireless signal as it doesn't happen with original xbox pads on series x. Though I can't confirm that as only have a series x pad.

I've found that restarting the console - holding down the big X button and selecting the right most option - always fixes it for me for as long as that play session lasts. I guess it can happen when the series x comes back from sleep in instant on mode? I dunno. At least it has a work around.
