I have to say Animal Crossing is an addictive little game. Just on my second day (played it for a bit last night), and I've paid off the trip & have a house coming tomorrow, and I gave Blathers enough donations on his first day on the island to start the museum (so I guess that should be built tomorrow as well?).

@RR529 I think it will be under construction tomorrow and then built the next day.

@mousieone, well then I'm going to have quite a bit of fish tanks & bug cages to go through once it's open because I've already caught 5 or 6 new species and don't want them clogging up my inventory. I've already started stacking them up near his tent, and I'm bound to get a few more tomorrow.

Well I finally finished Golf Story yesterday. With being cooped up in the house it's allowed me to go back and finish games that I never got around to finishing because I got distracted. Anyway this game is a charming little game and I did enjoy it alot. Definitely IMO a must have for the Switch. Now I am just waiting for Sports Story to come out.

You can now map your Switch buttons! I just checked and it works for the UI as well so you can finally swap A and B to match Xbox accept and cancel layout.

@BlueOcean that's awesome news, I wanted to remap controls in a few games I own.

This A, B, and X and O thing always gets me as I use all modern systems but also I've been playing MGS portable ops lately which uses the Japanese confirm/cancel button mapping which is opposite to the system I'm playing it on!

Sometimes I get worried I'll be caught out when I'm trying to cancel something on one of the online stores so I don't end up buying a game that I'm just browsing through lol

See ya!

Never really played a rhythm game before, but I decided to take a chance on Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum N' Fun since it was on sale (and I enjoyed the demo, which I played sometime last year), and it's absolutely glorious.

I never knew I needed to see Kirby dancing around to the opening theme of Neon Genesis Evangelion until now.

As for Animal Crossing, after about 60 hours I've hit the end game in terms of scripted events. I still have an upgrade or two to earn for my house, but simply grinding day in & out for bells to do so won't be fun in itself, so I'm gonna take a step back and achieve it over a longer period of time as I come back for events & updates throughout the year.

@Link41x
If you mix them both it becomes Fry Sauce, which is amazing!!!

@ThePrettySenshi haha yeah ketchup and mayo is the easy version of prawn cocktail. We can also make "easy" satay sauce with peanut butter and mayo

Downloaded Horizon Chase Turbo and OMG what a great game! It definitely reminds me of Top Gear on the SNES so if your a fan of that series then I high recommend it. If you are looking for an old school arcade style racer then look no further.

I started up Final Fantasy IX recently. It's been decent so far, but I think it maybe just a tad too old for me to really get into it. We'll see though, and it'll at least hold my attention until Wonderful 101 & Xenoblade release.

@ralphdibny up North we call mayo and ketchup ‘burger sauce’ or at least at our end.

‘You swapped three different N64 games for Pokemon Stadium? Where’s your pride? Your dignity?!?

‘…I traded it for a Pikachu’

ralphdibny

@Gamecuber we have burger sauce too but I never really put 2 and 2 together because prawn cocktail is more pink and burger sauce is more orange. Psychologically at least, Ive always thought they taste different (I love burger sauce but will turn down prawn cocktail - except the crisp flavour which I love). There's probably some subtle differences in the mix or other ingredients. Wimpy sauce is like the ultimate burger sauce.

@ralphdibny Wimpy? Now there a name I’ve not heard in a long time ... a long time ...

I know it's not switch exclusive and not for everyone, but I just finished up What The Golf, stroke of pure indie genius no? Simple to develop, absolutely hilarious and easy to pick up and play.

Maybe you need to appreciate golf humour perhaps to understand some of of the tongue-in-cheek references but absolutely loved it.
