After its surprise announcement last summer, the Shadows of the Damned remaster is officially releasing in 2024 - as digital store pages go live for this Xbox 360 cult classic.

Officially titled Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered, this 2011 third person shooter — originally published by EA — is being spruced up and re-released this year by developer Grasshopper Manufacture. We don't have a locked-in launch date just yet, but we're edging close to its release, with wishlisting now live.

If you never got around to playing this one back in the day, here's what to expect:

"Join the crass Garcia Hotspur and his boney buddy, Johnson, as they traverse the depths of the Underworld to steal back Garcia's kidnapped lover, Paula, from the clutches of Fleming, the Lord of the Underworld. Let the soul of rock 'n' roll run loose in the heart of the twisted hellscape that is the Underworld.

Shadows of the Damned, an action-adventure road trip through hell, has been remastered at last! Get ready for a story about rock, love, and just a little bit of demon slaying."

Alongside this new blurb, the team has also dropped some new 'Hella Remastered' screenshots - around a year on from the original game going offline. We'll drop a selection of the new images down below:
