For as long as the franchise has been alive, the world has been waiting for a truly excellent game based on Eastman & Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Well, Activision and Platinum seem to have the best shot at it yet, and details are starting to leak out about their take on things. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is the name of the game, and our source has passed us some exclusive screenshots from the title, which has yet to be officially announced. (Even though the game has been classified in Australia and achievements have been detailed already.)
As the below screenshots show, the game is laid out in a cel-shaded style along the lines of Platinum's recent Transformers: Devastation, and you'll be taking on the usual suspects as Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo, and Michaelangelo. The achievements suggest that an open-world game is on the cards, so mix that with this art style, and our hype meter is through the roof.
We've also got an image of the boxart, though it isn't a particularly large version. Still, we've included it here for completeness.
We're waiting on official confirmation of a release date, but the information that's coming through would suggest that it really isn't all that far off. We DO know that it's coming to Xbox 360 as well as Xbox One, and most likely other platforms as well.

I love the style of the boxart, it's a nice nod to the original comics.
Love it, might have to get this.
Just let there be local multiplayer and I'll be sold day 1.
Was hoping for the 80s/90s art style but this will definitely do!
I need this!!!!
I like this art style, day one buy, or pre-order.

Loved TMNT as a kid so will be keeping an eye out for this one! Looks good so far
Awesome. I love the visual style!
The artstyle definitely reminds me of the nickelodeon show and the current comicbook series! I cannot wait to see more!
@Churchy I agree. Let's hope it has 4 player local co-op
@cyphid If it works with the type of game they wish to do, then I'd certainly welcome 4 player local co-op.
