Dance Central Spotlight is out today for download via the Xbox Games Store, and a number of people have reported issues with the game crashing back to the Xbox One home screen when started, but there is a fix.
It appears that there was an issue with regards to how gamer profiles were saved on the earlier versions of the Xbox One's system software. It didn't cause a problem that you could see, but it sure causes a problem with Dance Central Spotlight. A patch is on the way, but in the meantime, you can fix it by taking the following steps:-
1. Sign into your profile
2. Select the profile pane
3. Select "My Profile"
4. Select "Customize" and them "Change Gamerpic"
5. Choose a different gamerpic
6. Load up Dance Central Spotlight
And that'll do it. Once you've launced the game once successfully, you can switch back to your original gamerpic and all will be well.
Boogie on!

I'm surprised a crash bug like that got passed QA.
@WayneDavies89 Apparently it only happens in some situations. I would have imagined QA would have picked it up as well, but I guess it depends on how rare it is.
Interesting...guess I got lucky.
