Castle of Illusion Getting Xbox Live Release

We've had a hunch about this one for a while now, but it seems that its looking ever more likely that Sega will be re-releasing the classic 16-bit title Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse via Xbox Live in the relatively near future.

Known for its beautiful artwork and challenging platform action, the game was a bit of an evergreen seller back in the days of the Megadrive/Genesis, and will be welcomed with open arms by many. The game was age-rated by the Brazilian authorities back in February for release on PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita, and Wii U. The "Ano de Produção" ("Year of Production") listed on that page is 1990, so we're assuming that this is not a HD remake - rather a straight port, possibly with enhanced features.

To back up the rumour, VGLeaks have today shown off a leaked digital cover for the game.

Sega are keeping quiet at this time, but we'll be waiting with baited breath for more information. If it doesn't get released before - the digital cover suggests that it isn't far off - then we'll undoubtedly see it at E3.
