Hey everyone,
I'm sure you've seen our post about GameBlast 15 which is a gaming marathon that takes place from February 20th through to the 22nd, to raise money for SpecialEffect.
We're hoping to grab a few ideas from that post, but we'll also be looking for a few volunteers who fancy joining the team for the weekend to either moderate chat, drum up some viewers, join a game team, or even stream a bit of gameplay themselves!

We'll take any help we can get! We're having a bit of a staff get-together to sort out some sort of schedule, so I'll have more of an idea of what we need help with after that. Will post in here when I know more.
This is a great cause everyone, some folks simply can't play games like we have the luxury of doing, without equipment or peripherals geared towards their condition. This can act as a true form of mental and physical rehabilitation for many who otherwise would have no manner of access. As one of the staffers that spent many of his childhood days in a hospital, I know how a simple act of charity can completely change one's mindset. Especially one who is stricken with adversity.
At the age of 29 I still suffer from a genetic bone disorder, ten days before this event I'm scheduled to have both hands cut open right down the middle finger line in surgery, the skin stripped back, and things that shouldn't be there removed. There is no way in hell that my wounds could stop me from helping others suffering, especially young ones. This is what GameBlast is all about, and I encourage everyone to not only donate what you can, or help our efforts... but to also garner support from family and friends along with us.
The difference that this type of program can make in someone's life, is extraordinary.
We're locking down the final details of our lineup for GameBlast 15, now.
We'll be starting on FRIDAY 20th FEBRUARY AT 7pm GMT, and you can all stare at my ugly mug until 1am, where I'll hand over to another member of the team. We'll be running for 48 hours, all told, finishing up at 7pm on Sunday 22nd.
We have a veritable stack of prizes to give away, including multiple copies of Far Cry 4, Rayman Legends, The Escapists, Life is Strange, Resident Evil HD, and Flockers. We'll also give away copies of Dying Light, Riptide GP2, Evolve, and Child of Light, as well as an official Xbox One Camouflage Controller and Stereo Headset bundle. And there are more prizes to come!
