When an Xbox handheld was announced, I assumed it would be engineered internally at Xbox. Maybe I just wasn't aware of what it really was, but this is incredibly disappointing if so.
Recently got a 360 for the first time but it can't even connect to the internet. Apparently an electronic from 2011 doesn't play nice with modern network securities; who woulda thought? Not that there's much use for a connection nowadays apart from achievements.
@Grumblevolcano Good question and I've been wondering this as well. Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, and Pentiment on PlayStation were only offered through Limited Run but Indiana Jones may be big enough to warrant a retail release. It probably will since there will be physical Xbox copies in stores.
This is a good delay and more publishers should adopt this strategy. Too many games, big and small, get sent out to die far too often. Better to give a game like Avowed some breathing room as this is the kind of game that demands a hefty chunk of players' time.
Xbox will always be the brand but it's effectively Microsoft Gaming in everything but name. Microsoft is a software company and dedicated hardware has never been their sole focus.
After the success of the Fallout show it'd be a no brainer for Obsidian to work on a sequel to New Vegas. I wouldn't be surprised if Xbox leadership is trying to push them in that direction, especially while Bethesda's occupied with Starfield and Elder Scrolls.

I don't think I'll ever have faith in anything Aaron Greenberg hypes up. Fool me once, fool me twice and so on...
Re: Report: Xbox Has Formed A New Team To Build 'Games Based On Existing IP' At Blizzard
This is a solid move if true. Kinda reminds me of how Riot tried expanding the reach of their pre-existing IP under the Riot Forge branding.

Re: Xbox Console Sales Struggling As Hardware Revenue Nosedives At Microsoft
I know Phil, Sarah, and others have openly discussed the next-gen Xbox but when I see numbers like these I start to wonder if it'll ever come to pass.
