I think the point of consoles was that they were cheap hardware and they made up for the shortage with games and made a profit. Now that won't be the case and if it becomes unaffordable in many countries, piracy will return. Now I understand why Steam is waiting with its new PC, because they are watching the market to see if they can price the product. Unfortunately, I was a little afraid of my Xbox game collection, but I might switch to the blue consoles. There somehow isn't such divisive news there, and I haven't read any in recent years either.
