@stinkyx - I don’t see it as being lazy a lot of players on here and other forums have been complaining that gears had moved away from its original format of the dark atmospheric game that made it so enjoyable , so maybe the coalition have listened 😊
I don’t see what all the drama is about , no one knows for sure and it’s all speculation, rumours that players are leaving in droves is nonsense with most of the info coming from so called influencers on social media. Influencers rarely know what they are talking about and only have one agenda which is to promote there own cause , likes ,shares subscribe to there page all brings in the $ £s. I have owned a ps1 and ps2 original Xbox , Xbox 360 Xbox 1s and now the series X , I do prefer the Xbox ecosystem but would look again at the PlayStation as would my friends. As I said at the start it’s no drama or life threatening. iMO
In the first trilogy you knew what the game stood for, Delta squad were a bunch of macho men fighting for freedom against the constant onslaught from alien creatures, the game was dark , atmospheric and full of doom. The latter 4 & 5 are ok games but have become all things to all players and in its quest to be more inclusive the ip has lost its gritty, dark menacing way that made it fun to play.
I bought my first Xbox 360 for Gears of War and have played them all, 1,2,and three are my favourite as I like the dark gritty atmosphere that lease games portrayed , Judgement was ok but not Epics finest, 4&5 imo have lost the horror and dark storylines and present themselves as too colourfull and bright, hivebusters is a good DLC for gears 5. I tried gears tactics but couldn’t get on with as it’s not my style of play, that’s not to say it’s a bad game though. I still play gears 5 most weekends with a few friends on horde.
Playing mostly Gears 5 multiplayer , I sometimes flick to Fallout 4 and less often now Skyrim. I did buy the Dead Space and Alan Wake remake plus Alan Wake 2 all digital purchases.
In the past year or so Microsoft have only concentrated on acquiring software houses and not enough creativity with AAA games, though 2024 is looking a lot better.

Re: Reaction: Xbox's 2024 Showcase Felt Like A Throwback To The 360 Era, In The Best Way Possible
Quite an impressive lineup, most excited for
Gears of War though no release date was very disappointing 😩
Avovowed
Indiana Jones
State of decay
Fable
Not that keen for Cod any more , to many fanboy would be soldiers for my liking , though a good mix of games that should cater for most players.

Well , after waiting 5 years and then watching the showcase we are still none the wiser for when the next instalment of Gears of War is gonna drop…😩

Gears of war 6

Never got on with gears tactics as I don’t like turn based games.
