Usually what happens when you change a game series about a bunch of gangsters f***ing sh*t up to...Anti capitalistic college students making anti capitalistic jokes every 5 minutes
I'm not even saying I'm a hardcore capitalist, but if I wanted political messaging, I'd go watch the news.
@Gamingforlife I think I lost braincells reading these replies, but I'll be the first to admit that Elden Ring is not a game I enjoy. In fact, I would say it's merely "Meh".
However, the world itself isn't any weaker than the companies you mentioned. The Witcher 3 is a vast world for sure, but Cyberpunk, Skyrim, GTA, ect...Are all 'Open worlds' for sure, but they don't have anything that make them stand out more from Elden Ring, other than more nameless NPC's who roam and do nothing.
Also no, Elden Ring is not a Metroidvania upgraded into a open world, it is a Open world game by every definition. Once you defeat 2 bosses, you can either go straight to the end or do everything else.
First few installments weren't the best, but I believe a different developers has been working on this one since 2020. We'll see how it goes but it can't be any worse than what EA puts out every year.
@Tharsman I mean, not to keep this topic going, but she's just a pebble in the grand scheme of things. Red or Blue, doesn't matter, every politician is after votes at the end of the day.
The Red's appeal to the Anti-Trans crowd, the Blue's appeal to the Pro-Trans crowd, but do you really think either of them truly care? Florida will pass every anti trans bill in the world because the majority of voters are red, while Cali will pass every single Trans bill in the world because the majority of voters are blue.
But if the shoe was suddenly reversed one day? If for some reason the Red's began supporting Trans, and the Blue's began to be against them? The politicians in those states would force through new bills to appeal to the new majority voting block.
JK can advocate for whatever she wants, but anybody she "Persuades" was going to pass whatever bill anyway, they might just use her or whoever as a shield against and and all criticism.
@northofthewall Who cares what kind of person she is? She's a rich Old woman who will never have to work a day in her life again, and makes stupid tweets...Which every twitter user ever does on a daily basis.
This is a video game, you know, the thing we play to ignore the real world?
@AceFurry Your life hasn't been politicized, just like mine haven't. LGBT, the topic itself has been, but the life you live isn't affected at all by what others think.
Unless of course, you go out of your way to make it affected.
I just want to say, that as someone who has been hyped for this game since I grew up watching HP, PureXbox is such a breath of fresh air compared to Nintendolife and Pushsquare.
No Politics, regardless of which side you lean(Obviously NL and PS, the way they lean is very obvious), none of that. Just asking about the game and being excited for it.
Just want to say thank you to Mods and other users.
@NEStalgia I don't quite know how you can say NSO is better than Game Pass because people want to play a older game. It may be ancient, but it's still consider one of the most innovative games ever created. Also it's not like Golden Eye is beating new games, in fact the one new game(Hi Fi Rush) has quite a sizeable lead over everything else.
My name might give it away, but I'm playing through Hi Fi Rush for a third time already. I beat the game normally, then went through again on the hardest difficulty, and now I'm doing it again to S Rank every stage. One of the best games I've ever played, and it's going to be real hard to stop playing so I can switch on over to Hogwarts on Tuesday.
@NEStalgia I mean sure, but you also have to realize people have been playing P4G on PC for a couple years now, MH:Rise on the Switch for about a year(Or is it 2?), and Persona 3 FES was atleast on the PS3 store.
Meanwhile Goldeneye hasn't been on a modern console since I believe.
@NEStalgia Because not only has Goldeneye been talked up for years now, and James Bond is mainstream as hell, but both Monster Hunter and Persona are very niche titles and much more popular in Japan compared to the west.

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Games Showcase 2023?
I admit I'm biased, I gave it a B, but I would of given it a A if we got Hi-Fi Rush DLC.
Re: Another Eight Games Will Leave Xbox Game Pass Soon (March 2023)
Just going to say I highly rec you guys buy the Nonary Games while it's discounted thanks to Game Pass, simply for 999 alone.
One of the best visual novels I ever played, and to more modern games, it's the grand daddy of the AI: Somnium Files Series

@northofthewall I'm a Trans Woman, and yet I don't care at all what JK thinks or believes, that's her life and her words have no impact on me at all.
Or are you going to say her "hate" wasn't directed at me because I don't have enough time in my busy life to care?
