This is a pretty awesome feature. It'll finally let me play my games across all my Xbox devices.
I've got a decent collection of physical Xbox games that I still play once in a while, along with a growing digital library. I own both a Series X and a Series S, but the Series S doesn't get much use because it's limited to digital games. If I wanted to play one of my physical games on the Series S, my only options were to buy it again digitally or hope it eventually showed up on Game Pass.
I've never liked the idea of paying for the same game twice just to play it on a different Xbox. And while digital games are convenient, I've always had mixed feelings about them since we don't really own the games, just a license to use them. This new feature feels like the best of both worlds and makes my physical game collection a lot more useful.
