@BAMozzy I completely get you on the ergonomics, it's usable but not for a long duration, since it doesn't fill your palms. I find myself switching to the Xbox elite controller 2. I will however say I am completely impressed of the power this thing can pack with the Z1 extreme. I also have a 3080 dock for it, but I went over my buddy's house to play battlefield 6 this past weekend and got a solid 80 plus frames using just the Ally and the HDMI output power adapter. I used the auto performance preset and the auto preset right below that, and in advanced set it for 1080 with dynamic scaling aiming for 120 frames, turned on a handful of settings below that didn't affect input latency like frame gen. Honestly I was really skeptical of all of this type of tech, but the game looks just as good as if I wasn't upscaling the when using the 3080... All that being said, if the Xbox Ally X is going to be a more powerful device than this, than I'd say it should have enough juice, so long as you don't expect 4K gaming. And the actual controller grips is icing on the cake.
