I had honestly fallen out of console gaming at the end of 2024...
But the strong showing/future of gamepass was enough to convince me to pick up a series x last night. Got the digital white version - looks great as well
What a great time to jump in I tell ya - I've literally got these games lined up:
-Indiana Jones (started already - amazing) -Lonely Mountain Skiing (I'm a huge skier and didn't even realized they made a sequel to the biking game) -Citizen Sleeper 2 -The new Sniper Elite -and a bunch of slightly older games like HiFi Rush and COD 6 solo campaign.. -Older games like Prey, Psychonauts 2 -Sports games like WRC, Super Mega Baseball (anyone remember Inside Pitch on the Xbox?)
My plan is not spend much outside of gamepass. GTA6 the exception of course, but I feel the current library could carry me VERY FAR -
I'm also not as concerned with graphics these days....I would rather have fun games that run fairly smooth. I mean I'm playing Titanfall 2 at the moment and don't really care that it's an older looking game.
If the industry keeps moving this way I have no issues sticking with an older console (or a series s type of console), continuing with game pass and just plowing through the dozens of games I never got to play over the years.
Yeah it's interesting because I would think that anyone who is going to buy a PS5 Pro, will likely be in the same group of early adopters for the PS6, no?
That means it's a 2 year investment I guess for this thing?
Obviously we are talking outrageous prices, but I guess in this day and age, where gaming is a huge passion/main hobby, is spending an extra $100 a year or so (if you stretch out the extra cost Sony is adding), then I can also see how many will be able to justify/afford it. But it will cut out a lot of kids from getting into console gaming which is sad -and where the fun begins
Funny, I have been feeling the same way recently - I LOVE my Series X, but have also been overwhelmed with the amount entertaining Switch games that I can just lie in bed with. On my OLED switch (and every Switch for that matter), it still looks like a miracle to have such immersive games on a handheld.
Disappointed in the delay like everyone else, but my backlog would take me until 2025, so I think I'm good
Haven’t played this game since the original release- just curious, are folks playing this in first person mode? Seems like it would be amazing way to bump up the immersion and also great for a second play through.
Silly question maybe- but does first person mode also run in 60fps?

Ha! I also preordered from the source here in Canada. The tracking number says my One X will arrive tomorrow. I’m skeptical but let’s see!

Wow. This looks fantastic....
Could anyone guess at the percentage chance that this will eventually come to Series X? Could be a console seller for me.
