We've got our first look at Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember which revealed that the game will launch as a day one release on Xbox Game Pass on March 4th, 2027. Better yet, you can play it six months early, as a surprise free demo is available today on the Xbox Store!

The Alpha Demo is playable for a limited-time only, so if you fancy giving it a go, you have from now up until 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm BST on September 30th. Players who complete the demo will be awarded the 'Fledgling Pheonix Helmet' for keeps in the final release.

Pre-orders have also gone live today for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, with the game retailing at £64.99 / $69.99 on the Xbox Store. As this is an Xbox Game Pass title, it's no surprise to see it receive Xbox Play Anywhere support.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember takes players to China in 208 AD, after the events of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, when the village of the protagonist and their friend, Pang Tong, is devastated by Cao Cao’s forces as they march to invade Jing Province, plunging the land into war with demons roaming freely. Seeking revenge, the protagonist will clear the way for Liu Bei in his fight against Cao Cao’s forces, before joining Sun Quan in Jiangdong where they meet again with Pang Tong to devise a plan to repel Cao Cao as he sets his sights on the Red Cliffs.
