by We've got a new Hot Wheels game arriving on Xbox this week! Just like with Hot Wheels Unleashed 1 and 2, this one's being made by the racing specialists over at Milestone, and the focus this time is to "race beyond the orange track and jump into a Hot Wheels-sized world with four islands to explore".
The game is called Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush, and you'll be able to check it out on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S this Thursday (September 10th), complete with Xbox Play Anywhere support - so you get a free PC version thrown in. The base price is £44.99 / $49.99, although there are also Deluxe and Ultimate Editions.

Moving to an open world structure does little to add to the experience; if anything, I think it detracts from it. Having said that, there's absolutely still fun to be had here. Collecting all the cars and blasting through races is very enjoyable, and controlling these die-cast toys retains its appeal despite the game's faults."
As things stand, Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush has a Metacritic average rating of 73 for Xbox, PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2, while the PC rating is actually a little higher at 78. Not bad at all, even if it's not a spectacular score.
We're definitely pretty intrigued to check this one out in a few days' time, and it's good to see that even some of the more negative reviews (such as the Push Square one) are highlighting how there's plenty of fun to be had.
