
What a treat! During today's Nintendo Direct, two Dragon Quest titles each got their own version of a shadow drop on Xbox Series X|S.
We've known Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World is coming to Xbox in December, but now players are able to have a crack at an all-new demo of the game. In addition, Square Enix has remastered Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko's Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD- and is shadowing dropping it on Xbox consoles TODAY!

Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko's Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD- (Today!)
Set after the events of DRAGON QUEST IV, this is the story of Torneko, a man who dreams of becoming the world's greatest weapons merchant. One day, he hears rumors of a mysterious dungeon said to contain incredible treasures. In search of a legendary treasure that no one has ever managed to bring back, Torneko sets out for the Mystery Dungeon. Originally released only in Japan, the first entry in the Mystery Dungeon series and prequel to Torneko: The Last Hope is finally making its international debut!
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World - Demo Out Today (Full Version On December 3, 2026)
The free playable demo of DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Withered World allows you to experience the game from the start of the story up to the conclusion of events in Witherwood as you get to grips with recruiting, raising, and synthesizing monsters. For playing the demo, you can receive an item set for use in the full game. And, if you keep your save data from the demo, you'll be able to transfer up to 8 monsters from your main party and reserves into the full game.
