Today's Summer Game Fest 2026 showcase kicked off with a big reveal from Capcom - we're getting a remake of Resident Evil - Code: Veronica! The game will launch in 2027, and it's called Resident Evil Veronica.

For those who never played the original, it started life on the Dreamcast back in 2000 before eventually expanding to other platforms, and it's one of the best-reviewed games for that system of all time. An HD version known as RESIDENT EVIL CODE: Veronica X was released on the Xbox 360, and it was made backwards compatible as well.

For what it's worth, Code: Veronica X is reduced to just £2.24 / $2.99 on the Xbox Store right now!
