Modern Warfare 4 Isn't On Xbox Game Pass, But 'Eligible' Members Can Get Vault Edition Discount

At this point, you're probably aware that Microsoft lowered the price of Xbox Game Pass recently and removed day one Call of Duty games in the process - which means that the newly-announced Modern Warfare 4 won't be on the service this October. However, Activision has announced a new loyalty program for past COD players, also featuring a discount for 'eligible' Game Pass members.

Unfortunately, this discount only applies to the pricier Vault Edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, but it's better than nothing we suppose. Basically, anyone who's bought and played Call of Duty from Modern Warfare 2019 through to last year's Black Ops 7 can get 10% off the MW4 Vault Edition - and that offer extends to folks who've played those COD games through Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus as well.

"Console and PC players are eligible for the Loyalty Discount if they have owned and played any edition of a qualifying Call of Duty title or have claimed and played one of the titles through PlayStation Plus Monthly Games. Currently active Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC subscribers are eligible for the Loyalty Discount if they have played a qualifying Call of Duty title through Game Pass."

The Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition is usually £99/$99, which means this discount will effectively knock £10/$10 off your purchase. This pricier edition comes with a batch of multiplayer DLC packs alongside the game's first 'BlackCell' battle pass for Season 1, so it's only really enticing for hardcore players - although it's also worth noting that any pre-order gets early beta access, including this edition.

Anyway, at least this offer extends to playing Call of Duty through Xbox Game Pass now that the series won't launch day one on there anymore - but it's worth remembering that MW4 will likely come to the service eventually, just not for a good year or so after launch. If you'd like to see exactly what you're getting with these Vault Edition goodies, we'll throw the team's blog post on that down below, which also contains some handy information for what to do if the discount isn't showing up for you just yet.
