We're finally getting some classic Gothic Games on Xbox in just a few months' time!
THQ Nordic has announced today that Gothic Classic, Gothic 2 Complete Classic and Gothic 3 Classic will all be available on Xbox this year, each going live for €29.99 on the following dates:
- Gothic Classic – 29.99 € | July 28, 2026
- Gothic II Complete Classic – 29.99 € | September 29, 2026
- Gothic III Classic – 29.99 € | November 24, 2026
Gothic, if you don't know, is an action-RPG series that first started back in 2001 with the first game on PC, which remained a PC exclusive until it arrived on the Switch in 2023. Gothic 2 also followed the same pattern, while Gothic 3 is still a PC exclusive for now until the new version arrives on Xbox and other platforms in November.
In addition, Xbox is getting Gothic 1 Remake in June, which is already available to pre-order on the Microsoft Store — and if you do, you'll get Gothic Classic for free as a pre-order bonus.
All these years later, it's great to see this Gothic Trilogy finally making its way to Xbox in full, and we'll leave you with some footage from each title down below so you can get an idea of what to expect.

The Gothic series were classics of their time that I put many hours into back in the day. They didn't hold your hands at all and you were thrown in at the deep end to deal with the consequences of your actions for good or bad
There were however the very definition of euro jank RPG as well. Mods did a lot of the heavy lifting to mitigate a lot of the performance issues and game breaking bugs.
I am interested to revisit these on console but I will certainly be waiting on reviews before I decide to buy or not
No, this has been announced last year already. The only real news is the date and the price.
I've had Gothic for ages on GOG. Always planned to get to them, mostly as a 'rainy day' kinda game. I played the RISEN games and adored them to pieces, though I was sad 3 was such a weird departure from the first two.
Need to give these a go. Maybe this is finally the time to try them out.
Piranha Bytes was great. Still furious at Embracer for shuttering them.
