Xbox Fanta Skin Revealed For Halo: Campaign Evolved, Dev Says There's No In-Game Shop

We're getting closer and closer to the release of Halo: Campaign Evolved later in 2026 (exact date TBD), and we've also got a peek at a new in-game skin — you can see it up above, and it's quite evidently inspired by Fanta!

That's because it's part of a new Xbox promotion in which free content is being given away for various games including Halo, Forza Horizon 6, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and others. Once you buy a can or bottle of Fanta with the special edition Xbox packaging, you can scan the QR codes to unlock challenges that will lead to these rewards along with the ability to win various prizes like consoles and controllers.

You can see some of the other rewards that are being given away in the following image:

When this was first revealed earlier in the week, there was a little concern amongst the Halo community that Halo: Campaign Evolved might feature some kind of in-game shop instead of allowing you to unlock skins through playing the game. However, Halo Community Director Brian Jarrard has since confirmed "there is no shop" to be found:

Nevertheless, there has definitely been a mixed reaction to the Xbox Fanta skin so far. The responses to a Halo post about this on Twitter are quite negative on the whole, whereas the Halo community on Reddit seems to be much more forgiving and even hopeful that some cool unlockable skins might be waiting for us in the full game.

To be honest, we're not really fussed either way - Halo: Campaign Evolved is purely a single-player title, so there's no need to engage with any cosmetic skins unless you really want to. We certainly won't be rushing to paint Master Chief like a Fanta can, but you do you!
