Yesterday, it was announced that Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered was getting free Challenge Mode DLC, and it also launched on the same day - you can literally go and check it out right now on all platforms including Xbox consoles.
The DLC adds various difficulty customisation options, allowing you to modify "health, damage, bonuses, enemies, and more to create new challenges with endless replayability". In addition, there are 10 new outfits, 15 new achievements, and some very minor bug fixes for things like "collider issues" in the base game.
"Customize your replay of the original trilogy with Challenge Mode, available today for free on all platforms! Get 10 new outfits with 25 upgraded abilities, play your way with the new level modifiers, and earn 15 new achievements."
So, is it worth picking up on Xbox? That's up to you — but you'll probably be pleased to hear that Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered is discounted by 50% on the Xbox Store right now, bringing it down to £12.49 / $14.99. The sequel (Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered) is also the same price, which is the lowest it's ever been on the Xbox Store, and there's a bundle that packages in both of the Remastered releases for £22.99 / $27.49.
We'll leave you with our reviews for both of them below, and if you've personally tried any of the Remastered Tomb Raider games, tell us what you think of them in the comments. Challenge Mode, here we come!
