Two Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (March 3)

Update [Tue 3rd Mar 2026, 4:30pm]: Surprise! We've got a third game that's been added at the last minute in the form of twin-stick shooter Minishoot' Adventures, which was announced at the Nintendo Indie World showcase as a shadow drop for today. That game has also now been added into the list down below.

Original Story: Welcome to your latest Xbox Game Pass update! Today's a day that many folks have been waiting for, as the epic Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 becomes available to XGP subscribers.

We'll sum up the Warhorse Studios RPG down below, alongside today's other addition to Xbox Game Pass (March 3):

I'm going to give kingdom come deliverance 2 a go seen a funny video today about the game the dude kills a chicken and is trying to convince a guard he did it in self defense because he was drunk the chicken made him paranoid haha

I already KCD 2 with all dlc so it coming to game pass isn't a big deal for me.

However if you haven't played it absolutely give it a go as its a fantastic game but it is a long game (even without dlc) so be aware of that too.

I already own the game, so it being added is of no benefit whatsoever for me. I'm really not a fan of Microsoft adding these old or older titles to Game Pass because once a game has been out in the wild for a while, many people will have already bought it and so it being added to Game Pass is utterly worthless for them.

I have to add that surely Microsoft asking for problems? Right now Microsoft get 30% from the sales of third-party games, but if people get it into their heads that there is no point in buying said game because it could be added to Game Pass at any point within the next 6 years (in the case of Cyberpunk 2077) then surely that will affect sales and thus the revenue that Microsoft get from said sales? Indeed, at the very least it might put people off buying games within the first year or two, which even if the game does not come to Game Pass within that timeframe, still means that Microsoft will end up with less money because if people wait to see whether it lands on Game Pass, and then pick it up 6-12 months following release, then the game will likely have been bought in a sale meaning that Microsoft get a 30% cut on a reduced price too.

Ultimately, I think this is just another of Microsoft's poorly judged decisions...

KCD2 is a decent addition. Being only a year old, its much more likely that more people wont have tried it especially those like me who just are not sure they will click with it. I can now try with no cost though I suspect I may not enjoy it.
Its a far cry from the days we used to have new AAA titles on the service, day and date titles now seem restricted to indie releases and first party output.
But Ill take what we got and at least I can try KDC2 now and see if I missed out 👍

KCD2 is a good addition. It's not too old, and the more "hardcore" nature of the gameplay may have put some people off of buying it, but now they have the chance to play.

Cyberpunk is a great game, but man, it's going on 6 years old now. Most people will already own it and/or have played it. Even if they haven't, it's often on sale for less than a month of GP would cost, and then you have the game to play through at your own pace cuz it's huge.

I urge people to give KCD2 a go, even if you think it’s not your cup of tea. I was the same, and slept on the game for most of 2025. Then in December I gambled and bought it in a sale…and I’ve played it almost every day since!

I'm glad KCDII is on GP but man it's dropped so close to KCD1 I'm not ready for it

@dkxcalibur I REALLY need to try that game! It's in the Play Later list but I've been waiting for KCD2 since it was announced for Gamepass so not sure they're two games that would work for a simultaneous play through......

KCD 2 is an absolute must play. However, it's a BIG game with so much to do that you're going to need to dedicate a lot of time to it. But it'll be time well spent, rest assured. An absolute belter of an RPG, arguably the finest this generation has to offer.
