LEGO Batman Switches Release Date, Will Now Launch Next To Xbox's Forza Horizon 6

We've got a little release date switch to bring to your attention! The highly-anticipated LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will now be releasing a week earlier across all platforms, launching on May 22nd, 2026.

This actually brings it in-line with Xbox's release of Forza Horizon 6, which launches on May 19th. LEGO Batman has an early access period that begins on May 19th for Deluxe Edition owners, so there's definitely some crossover here!

"Deluxe Edition pre-orders will receive 72-hour early access, now beginning on May 19, prior to the main launch on May 22. All pre-orders will receive The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit (at launch), inspired by the acclaimed comic book series."

Does it matter? Eh, probably not. These are two very different games aimed at two kinda different audiences, and it certainly won't hurt Forza Horizon in any case — perhaps LEGO Batman might be launching a little too close for comfort for some people's wallets though? Then again, 007 First Light is releasing on May 27th, so there was already major competition for the Caped Crusader to deal with. We'll see how it all pans out in May!

As mentioned, you can go and pre-order LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight on the Xbox Store if you fancy it, with the base version retailing at £59.99 / $69.99 and the Deluxe Edition at £79.99 / $89.99. It's coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, but sadly there's no Xbox One version for anyone still playing on a last-gen console.
