Yesterday's Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase was packed with Xbox-related news, but only one new Game Pass title showed up; giving us another game to add to the service's March lineup. That game is Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf, which officially releases on March 5th, 2026.

This is the follow-up to 2023's Planet of Lana, which got quite a bit of attention on Xbox Game Pass way back when. Its striking visuals struck a chord with players, and thankfully, it delivered a fun puzzle adventure to back those visuals up. We really enjoyed the first title a few years ago!

Anyway, the sequel follows "Lana and her little companion, Mui" as they "stand together against the forces reshaping their world, struggling not just for survival, but for the soul of their home" - and it's sure to be one of the prettiest Xbox Game Pass additions this year. Just look at it:

Planet of Lana 2 is now locked in for Xbox Game Pass in March, then, and we're excited to see how this one goes over with players. It may not have the same hype behind it that the first game did, but hopefully the team at developer Wishfully can build on the first title and deliver a memorable experience on the service next month!
