Xbox's 2025 adventure South of Midnight has won multiple awards in recent months as the industry celebrates the best and brightest from last year, and now the Compulsion Games title has taken home yet another prize at DICE 2026 this week.
While Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 unsurprisingly received the most awards at the DICE event (including Game of the Year), South of Midnight won the 'Outstanding Achievement in Animation' award. Congrats to the team at Compulsion for picking this one up!
It should be no surprise at this point that we keep on championing this game at Pure Xbox; it's certainly an overlooked title in Xbox's recent portfolio. In fact, I recently waxed lyrical about how it was my personal GOTY for 2025 - so yeah, I'm happy to see it pick up all of these awards!
