We've got a date for the new MLB The Show game! Sony has revealed today that MLB The Show 26 will officially release for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on March 17th, 2026 — but there's no sign of a day one Xbox Game Pass launch.

From MLB The Show 21 through to 24, every game in the series was arriving on Game Pass at launch, but that stopped with the 25 version, and it seems to be carrying through to 26. The official MLB The Show blog just says the following:

"Starting March 17th, the Standard Edition of MLB The Show 26 is fully available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch."

We don't really know a whole lot about MLB The Show 26 right now either — the gameplay reveal isn't until February 3rd, so all the focus for the moment is on cover star Aaron Judge, who returns after also being the cover athlete in 2018.

We'll be sure to keep an eye out on any further Xbox Game Pass confirmation for this one, and it's also worth noting that the Digital Deluxe Edition will offer early access from March 13th if you're eager to get playing as soon as possible.

"This year, MLB The Show is all about leaving your mark like never before. More than any single game, it’s about The Journey. It starts by putting in the hard work in high school, with a continuous drive to be better than the day before and a hunger for a Hall of Fame career. That drive was top of mind throughout the development of this year’s game, which is why San Diego Studio and MLB The Show are proud to welcome back 3X American League MVP, Aaron Judge."
