We've got another new Xbox controller variant today in the form of the "Fallout Pip-Boy Edition", and there are three different versions in all - available to purchase today on the Microsoft Store.
The standalone one features the same basic design as the other two, but with a bright green d-pad, black thumbsticks and triggers, and a bright green back case. Both the standard and Elite versions can then be customised via Xbox Design Lab if you're willing to spend the money, but be warned that even the regular version of the controller retails at $98.97, discounted down to $82.97 at launch.
Here's a quick comparison of all three:

Xbox says these new Fallout controllers are available for a limited time through the Microsoft Store and Xbox Design Lab, although a "timed exclusive" banner suggests the standalone version will hit other retailers eventually as well.
We'll leave you with more details on them down below, along with some images and product links:
The Xbox Wireless Controller – Fallout Pip-Boy is available for pre order, for a limited time, at Microsoft Store. For those looking to create their own unique design, both Xbox Wireless Controller and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 are available now with Xbox Design Lab.
This Fallout-themed masterpiece pays homage to Vault Boy and his iconic S.P.E.C.I.A.L. traits, featuring a striking green metallic D-Pad and a custom Fallout topcase that radiates craftsmanship and heritage.

“We want a New Vegas remaster!”
“Best I can do is an overly expensive green controller variant.”
Played FO76 for about 5hrs yesterday. Game crashed to dashboard 8 times, inexplicably reset some option settings (stick sensitivity, Y-axis inversion etc) to default, the final boss of the daily op got stuck in a wall and became unkillable which forced a restart, and the game is still a choppy stuttery mess. Instead of hocking new merch maybe they could have used that money to pay Bethesda’s (rumored) tech support devs to fix some of the glaring issues with the actual game(s)?
@Balaam_ That would cut into the required 30% profit margin.
Not a fan. Doesn't feel like much thought has been put into it other than to shove part of the UI on the backplate.
@Balaam_
I admire your tenacity, I would have given up long before that.
I've just finished Dragon Age: Veilguard and that crashed to dashboard quite frequently towards the end of the game. Once it even crashed so badly that the whole console shut down!
@rhydderch I think you might need to get your console checked if the crashes are that bad. I've never had my console shut off from a crash before. I never had a single crash on Veilgaurd either and that was close to launch.
Controller looks ok, but that MGS delta one that Xbox is doing as a social media competition is a thing of beauty. I want that one on sale not this one.
@darylb24
It only happened that one time with DA:Veilguard. It did worry me, though, for a second I thought it was bricked.
@Vordus Seems like they played it safe. The Pip-Boy "boy" image is pretty recognizable. Maybe when it sits in the case, it looks like the screen of the Pip-Boy. Can't buying these, anyway — an Elite Series 3 has to be 1-2 years out.
Thank you, @FraserG, though I will say your site is costing me a fortune! I've just paid £171.38 for an Elite version of the Pip Boy controller via the Design Lab. I also got the case and all the extra gubbins, and they were offering free engraving too, so it even has my name of it.
I did click via the link above, so hopefully your site will receive something in return, but I am grateful for the heads up as the offer is only valid for 3 days...
@Fiendish-Beaver Haha, apologies!
Really appreciate the click, we will indeed get a little something back from you doing that 🙏
Hope you enjoy it! This and the DOOM one are my favourites of the Series X/S generation I think.
Feels like low effort for a "pip-boy" controller.
Yes, I bought an Elite Doom controller and the Standard one via the links you provided, and also the Witcher 3 Elite controller, @FraserG. I'm using the Elite Doom controller at the moment, and it really does look nice. The Witcher 3 controller remains in its case and won't be being used. It really is a lovely controller as well...
@Fiendish-Beaver You certainly love your controllers! Sounds like a really nice collection.
And....
Added to my collection. This and the Doom one look great to me.
@dskatter the contoller and the rematser are totally unrelated things. the controller is tied to the series
if you think the new vegas remaster is not happening you are just being silly
@demian …you actually took that sarcastic comment seriously, eh?
Drift masters are back!! Not even the best graphic design can bring me back to M$ controllers, without hall-effect or TMR sticks it's a big NO!!
That's very nice I can't wait for the new series of fallout to start and the eventual remake of fallout 3 but they really should of released the controller sooner considering Christmas is so close!
Hate to say this, but for the first time I think that third party controllers like G7 pro and Ultimate 3 are now better than the 1st party controllers.
$80 for a controller that will get stick drift in a year or two
Fallout is not my favorite game, but the controllers are great.
Bethesda - "Why make games or remaster them when we can make controllers and an anniversary edition of Fallout New Vegas for $154.99."
