Last week, we mentioned how GTA 5's Michael De Santa would be returning in a new update for GTA Online called "A Safehouse in the Hills", and that update has gone live today on Xbox - you can go and check it out right now.
As you can see from the "Michael Returns" video, De Santa and his wife Amanda make a fairly lengthy appearance when buying a mansion in the new update, welcoming you to the neighbourhood. Michael later lends a hand in fighting off a bunch of mercenaries - you can check out footage for all of this at the bottom of the article.
When you meet Michael and Amanda, they also mention how their son Jimmy has finally left the home, and speculation is already cropping up that he might be making an appearance in GTA 6:
Honestly this feels like a bit of a reach to us, but who knows! It's certainly ramping up the interest in this "Safehouse in the Hills" update for GTA Online anyway, which seems well worth a play if you've got the money for a mansion (the base price seems to be around $11 million).
It's not just about mansions though, as there's also a new Mission Creator, a bunch of new vehicles and various other quality of life improvements to enhance your GTA Online experience.
The wait for GTA 6 is feeling ridiculously long now, but this is a nice stopgap until we get there!
