The ROG Xbox Ally is out now of course, and neatly coinciding with the device's launch, Gamescom is currently hosting its Asia x Thailand edition of the convention - and Microsoft SEA is there in full force with the new handheld Xbox!

We're starting to see Gamescom Asia Xbox booth pics crop up on our social media feeds now, and it all looks like a great way for fans in that region to test out the new Asus x Microsoft device. Of course, you've also got some highly-anticipated 2025 games on show as well, such as Xbox's Ninja Gaiden 4 and the adorable-looking indie title Tanuki: Pon's Summer.

It's a shame that this sort of hands-on access, especially for the ROG Xbox Ally, isn't more broadly available - some sort of worldwide demo event would have been a great way to let folks try the system out! Alas, at least those lucky enough to be attending Gamescom Asia are being encouraged to go hands-on with the device over the next few days.

We'll be keeping an eye on fan impressions โ€” both generally and from this event โ€” over the next few days, as the ROG Xbox Ally starts to settle in. For now, you can check out our full review on the device down below - it's safe to say we rather like the X model!
